„Technology is not equivalent to the essence of technology.“
M. Heidegger
My name is Tadas Čapanauskas, a philosopher engaged with the philosophy of technology and the philosophy of language. I completed my PhD in Philosophy from Vytautas Magnus University in 2020, where I explored the concept of machination (Machenschaft) in Martin Heidegger’s philosophy of technology.
My academic journey has been shaped by a continuous inquiry into how technology frames our experience of being, and how metaphysical structures continue to inform contemporary life. Heidegger's notions of Gestell and Machenschaft have guided much of my research and reflection.
In parallel with my academic work, I have spent several years working in the fields of technology and advertising, which has given me a concrete, inside understanding of how technological systems and techniques function in practice. This hands-on experience has enriched my philosophical perspective, allowing me to examine technology not only as an abstract concept but as a real, operational force shaping everyday life.
Beyond research, I have presented at academic conferences, contributed to scholarly journals, and remain committed to exploring the ethical and existential dimensions of technological modernity, the problem of language.

a wild ride through the jungle of hyperlinked thoughts, where every click opens another window, another reality, another stream of noise. A world where your browser is drowning, but you keep hitting Ctrl + T. Where the text no longer reads you – it consumes you. Where the noise doesn’t come from speakers, but from inside your head. Where hypertext becomes hypernoise, and your brain a buffering loop.
